Sea Lion Estates offers semester and year-long internships, co-ops and independent studies to undergraduate and graduate students. Students work closely with the owner and a faculty supervisor to complete a training component followed by immersion in on-going studio projects.

The program emphasizes skill development throughout, including the skills necessary to participate in a quick-moving professional studio environment. For interested students the program may also include a portfolio-building component, which produces a DVD demonstrating their work with Sea Lion Estates.

Past internship students have come from the College of Technology, the School of Art, the American Culture Studies Program, among others.
